Shrimp and Crabmeat Gumbo

1 dozen hard crabs cleaned and halved
1 lb shrimp peeled
Olive oil
3/4 cup onion chopped
2 tsp garlic minced
1 cup celery chopped
1/2 cup green onion chopped
1-14 oz can chopped tomatoes
1/2 tsp thyme
1 bay leaf
Dash of cayenne
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups fresh okra if possible chopped
Cooked rice

Heat oil in a large pan, saute onions garlic and celery until tender, add tomatoes herbs and salt. Bring to a boil, lower heat, simmer for about 10 minutes, add okra, cook about 15-20 minutes, add the crabs cooking 10 minutes, add the shrimp cook 10 more minutes. Let set for a few minutes before serving. Serve  over fluffy cooked rice. Picking the crabmeat for this dish is part of the enjoyment.
